When your back hurts
From the
fifth month of pregnancy, the baby's weight and volume of the uterus alters the
morphology of the spine. This load increases the lumbar curve and causes
abnormal curvature known as lordosis.
Moreover,
again because of the weight of your baby, your center of gravity moves forward.
Result? You
have back pain due to compression of sensory nerves in your back, caused by
even small vertebral displacements.
Two types
of ailments dorsal
Sciatica is pain that radiates to the buttocks
and the back of the thigh, the sciatic nerve is compressed due to a relaxation
of the sacroiliac joints. These pains are very difficult to relieve.
Back pain or lumbago is like a backache and is
explained by the fact that your spine is severely tested. Overweight imposed on
the spine leads to malposition of the lumbar region and especially if you stand
arched.
These back
pain is more intense at night, if you are tired or have had prolonged standing.
Back pain
should not be taken lightly since they can cause muscle contractions around the
vertebrae that may remain after childbirth.
Better safe
than sorry
Prevention
is better than cure back pain, so be careful with postures that you take:
Regularly switch the pelvis forward. This
movement strengthens the abdominal muscles and prevents excessive digging back.
Stand straight and not curved.
Avoid standing too long.
Take a subscription to the pool and swim on
their backs. Renounce the breaststroke because it cuts back.
For sleeping, choose a firm bed and sleep
lying on the left side or curled up on the back with a pillow under the knees.
To dress up, sit down to put on your socks,
pants, briefs, ...
Shoes for you, take your foot on a fulcrum and
tilt your torso forward.
To walk, carry the weight on your heels and
not banish the toes and high heels.
For sitting, always sit well back in your
chair and clear the small of your back.
Climbing stairs by leaning slightly forward.
To clean, do not fold in half and bend your
knees but keeping the vertical column upright to pick something up, sweeping,
vacuuming, ... Sit down to peel your vegetables.
By
following these tips, you will minimize your risk of Souffir back pain during
your pregnancy.
The ligaments
The
tightness in the stomach, back and perineum are due to the fact that your
ligaments are strained during pregnancy.
Ligaments
are bands of tissue that serve as transmission belts to our joints and links
between our various organs.
Ligaments
are constituted by a beam of white fibrous tissue capable of withstanding the
very high traction elasticity due to their remarkable.
Ovarian
hormones those relayed by the placenta are responsible for the laxity of the
ligaments during pregnancy.
This is particularly due to the elasticity of
the ligaments of the abdominal wall that your uterus can swell without being
compressed. The weight and size of your uterus operate significant traction on
the ligaments that connect the ovaries, vagina, bladder and surrounding organs
at all. It follows sensations of tightness and distension of the fibers
increases over the pregnancy. This is why a second pregnancy is visible
earlier.
Parallel, perpendicular, or transverse
ligaments of the spine provide good flexibility in your back under heavy
pressure during pregnancy. The uterus, by moving your center of gravity, is
toil ligaments surrounding your spine. The most vulnerable regions are the
lower and upper back: poor posture causes neck pain, back pain and shooting pains
in the buttocks and thighs. Be reassured, a few sessions of physiotherapy to
learn proper posture and some exercises that relaxes and relieves you will
benefit.
The perineum (or pelvic floor) is a set of
muscles and ligaments that support the genital and urinary organs. This is a
floor brittle because it is not airtight, it must allow the conduits urinary,
genital and anal. The perineal muscle supports a lot of tension in late
pregnancy and during delivery. To avoid what is called "the descent of
bodies" including urine leakage during a laugh after delivery, you must
work to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles during pregnancy and after
delivery.
However the
status of your perineum after delivery will depend on many factors like the
quality of your fabrics, your baby's weight, the number of pregnancies, ...
